I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Stocking up on niggles of colour for winter. I figured that it’s enough to be born with an extra organ for cynicism (under the thyroid glands to be precise), it shouldn’t be further applauded by wearing dark colours during the cold seasons – the sun’s short as it is, like the other day it was gone-o by the time I came down for lunch, very confusing… my body clock is now completely scrambled with a side of bacon and toast.

Well I must say that colour is incredibly vitalizing and mood-uplifting, not to sound like a nutrition capsule bottle, but right now the two yellow shoes are entrancing me in a way that keeps me up (and happy) at 5am. Now I understand why, come winter, we find increased fat deposits on our bodies – it was all to make space for some much needed energizers. Check your thighs, it should have a small hatch somewhere to fit two AA’s. Well either that or yellow shoes, I think.

I just wrote a paragraph about being in an intimate relationship with my phone and then realized that it was starting to resemble my dissertation about panoptics, global connection and disappearance of space (see you’re already drifting) and decided to delete the whole thing and instead write zebra stories (clear relevance to the outfit, as you can see). Actually it’s 5am so I’ll skip on the zebra story but I’ll tell you that sadly it does not have a happy ending. I know that no one likes un-happy endings, so there, I’ve done the world a favour by heading off to bed, goodnight.

Who’s been called a four-eye before? I have, all throughout middle school and high school. Love how I had ultra-supersonic-laser-eye capabilities on every photo from the light reflection on my glasses – I had this anonymous glasses-for-nonrecognition thing going on except you knew it was me because its that girl with the white eye sockets. People would then always ask how kissing would be with glasses on and I would tell them it’s quite difficult because the specs could concentrate sun-rays into the partner’s eyes and make him blind. There was always one girl who said Really? to that.

I have no idea why we had so much glass-ism when we were young, what was so bad about them? Now I really crave for them.

Just over a week ago, I was invited to this year’s SpecsaversSpectacle Wearer of the Year awards, (Thanks again, Tom!) and there saw the glassophilics of glassophilics come together. Hosted by Ben Shepherd and Jenni Falconer, it was a combination of cocktail reception, celebrities, catwalk of the 9 finalists, and then the awards ceremony. ALL GLASSED, naturally. (That sounds like gassed, sorry, making up words here) I must say, it was quite refreshing to see specs on the catwalk, the effect it had on an evening gown was all I’m down to business tonight. I’m rather glad that glasses are slowly rising to a stage of being a celebrated item of accessory instead of an annoyance – although, we’ve all had that time when we used a brooch to cover up a dirty area on our sweater, if you know what I mean. (No face washing anymore!)

I bought an electronic blanket a few days ago and MY GOODNESS does it beckon me to bed, all day. For the past week that my heater didn’t work and the nights were getting so cold I couldn’t fall asleep till 3am, going to bed was a nuisance. Now work is a nuisance, school’s a nuisance, all life outside the bed is a nuisance. URG. I started this blogging deal 3 hours ago and every 5 minutes I’ve been zoning out into the direction of the bed imaging stupid things like if I die in my sleep with the heating still on would I be cooked raw, medium or well done before someone finds my body.
There, I’ve just gone and stroked the warm underbelly of the duvet for nothing more than pleasure’s sake, and I’m afraid I must go now, goodbye.
