I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Hiya. I haven’t been doing much worth talking about. Everyday, sizzling in the white sun, then in the evening getting poured on by buckets of rain with awesome thunderstorms…it’s like a fairytale weather, really. I have nowhere to go or no-one to meet (literally, I have 0 friends here, curse of the international schools) so please, take pity and understand the lack of posts.

I do have something funky in front of me that I want to share.

I have a fish of questionable identity. If it was Korean it would be an icecream and it’d call itself Steve Kim, but this one I found in a Japanese packaging with a German import label. For those living in Europe will know that import labels for Asian food always happen to be stuck on top of the most important bit of the original packaging, like HOW YOU EAT THE CONTENTS bit. So here I am, confuzzled, wondering whether it needs to be microwaved/cooked or shoved in mouth before it melts. I shall give it a poke.

(Look what you make me end up writing about, summer.) For those new to the blog, hello and welcome, yes I lack a few crucial braincells.

Thank you for those who let me know that I’ve been featured in WWWD Myspace Muse (June). I stumbled on my own face myself and thought hey thats whatshername. I must say, I was a tad disappointed about the outfit they chose since it’s literally jeans and jacket, an outfit put together in March for 2 hours of local cinema with the boyfriend – I’m still grateful to be featured, so thanks WWWD! Although I personally wonder why Queen Michelle is in that bargain-bin of a set, she deserves her own damn multicoloured-sparkle-raining spotlight.

Few facts about their Myspace muse: 1) it has nothing to do with myspace.com (at least not anymore, I think in the past there was?), 2) featured ones are notified weeks before the feature – so I myself knew for quite some time (but mucho thanks for letting me know still), 3) WWWD is a trend report site – I don’t know how people dare to judge the girls that are featured to be ‘non-inspirational’ and lacking individualism. The function of a trend report isn’t to report uniqueness and individuality, it’s to report the common denominator style of the time. If they’re looking for uniqueness, what are they doing there in the first place?

What are your interests outside fashion & graphic design? [Lorraine]Fishing in pond with barbeque fork.

Well, in all seriousness, I’m a Second World War/military history freak. I may have mentioned this earlier, but I’m more familar with guns and military equipment than fashion designers. I may have also raised a small red flag on some governmental database somewhere during my self-directed design project googling Nazi church, Hitler Youth, admissions into Hitler youth…

Although, I do like throwing forks at fishies in ponds just to see if they poop when they get scared, but unfortunately there aren’t that many ponds in my viccinity to sustain that hobby.

Do you watch Korean dramas and which are your favourite? [Phuong]

I do watch the occasional Korean TV Series, but I’ve only watched a handful. I find myself frequently hurling PG13 insults at the slow-running storyline and end up skipping a few episodes in the middle. The latest I watched was Boys over Flowersbased on a Japanese Manga, which I could say is currectly my favourite only because of Macaroni Hair (tall dude in the middle of the pic below), but I watched it in 2 days which is saying something since it’s 25-episode long.

What music do you like? [Lorraine]

I don’t really stick to one genre – it could as well be elevator music or thumpy music from cars passing by. When I was young I used to be a hardcore Christina Aguilera groupie so I hold quite a strong allegiance to her still, but nowadays my playlist is quite colourful. The base line is though, that it needs to be something I can sing along to. So preferably a female vocalist with a distinct singing voice. Other than that, I like metal, K-pop, HippityHoppity… Well the only thing I can’t stand is Techno and Trance.

I think we managed alright with the exhibition. My camera just magically ran out of battery before I could take any pictures of my own work, hotdang. Well, not that I would put my work up here. The exhibition is up in Free Range till the 1st of June in F Block T2 of the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane E1 for those with very little to do this weekend and happen to be around.

About the outfit photo, I do realise that the Zara cropped-top colours are dramatically different here and in the previous post. It’s actually closer to the colour on this post – I think I cranked down the saturation too much on the previous… Oh yes and the hair, I didn’t realise my bun fell apart until I pulled it out of the oven… No, I didn’t realise my bun fell apart until I looked at the pictures at home, it’s my wrestle-on-sofa-with-sleep hair, for those wondering if it has a life of its own and a name.

I just wrote a paragraph about my surreal experience of studying in a real library (Queen Mary Uni) today but then I thought about it and why should I rub it in that I’m a retard? So I got rid of the whole thing. Please understand, it was full of useless observations like wow I didn’t know they have CUBICLES AND DESKS in the library, this is SO AWESOME. Come to think of it, compared to this, my artschool library is like a barn.
My shoulders got all stiff the 3rd hour in, and naturally I moaned to Ellen about it, and she told me to cartwheel through the isles to loosen up. That girl is so clever.

Now, I have an essay due in 14 hours and I’m still trying to find out whether it’s 1500, 1700, or 2000 words, which also means I haven’t started it yet. Yeah, I’m not sure why I’m blogging either, but thanks for wondering.
