I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Today: Wrote one lame paragraph for my dissertation (aimed for 15, oh well.), bought this off etsy, spent 2.5h looking at 15,000 photos from photoalbum, forgot what my face looked like after that so visited the mirror; bought this off etsy, contemplated buying groceries online, I need milk and bread…no delivery under £30? screw you, how about something from Amazon, do I need anything? Doesn’t look like I can afford the new Canon 7D…close window… shoved innocently clean bedsheets into washing machine, watched it spin a bit… did a spell-check on my dissertation… Well now I need to sleep, don’t I. Such a fruitful day.

What a week. First, my dissertation decides to kick my ass (and many others, since we art students understand deadline as something you paint over or photoshop till it looks like it’s something with every other meaning but the original), and then my laptop catches a cold and I end up having to format the retard and reinstall Windows and every other program back to normal circulation.

Luckily I backed everything up before the format. Except of course the browser bookmarks. Always forget to export bookmarks. And fonts. Although after formatting my hard-drive every other week since I was 17, (I was an uber tech geek until my braces came off and I started to resemble a female) I learnt to back up the font files the first thing before anything else. Fonts to aspiring designers are like marbles to the brain, straps and buckles to shoes.

Anyway, I’m back on track now; do expect an avalanche of posts for the coming few days since I have so much to show and tell. Hope you’ve all been well.

I love airports, I do – but I can’t help but notice the procedure of travelling by airplane is not anymore a method of transport or a service but some kind of mandatory firedrill in a governmental institution. The hype! I walk through the metal detectors with 40% less clothes after losing jacket, belt, shoes and bag to the scanner – pants threatening to obey gravity and drop, and still something manages to set the detectors off. Turns out it’s the metal buttons on my pants – would you like to escort me to a private room and ask me WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO WITH THE BUTTON? Why don’t you take my bladder while you’re at it, I tell you it has more potential of blowing up than my innocent 100ml of moisturiser. I know, it’s all for my own safety – but seriously, most of us struggle with locating the switch to open the hood of the car, let alone wire a bomb, and I don’t think we yet understand the benefits of terrorizing a plane. Do I get extra mileage for that?

The baseline is, I would like to knit in the plane at least once in my lifetime. Sometimes I would like to cut some paper in the plane with sharp scissors too.

Took a train down to Portsmouth with Ellen to visit the D-Day museum and spend a day at the beach. The weather was a bit too chilly to relax on the pebbles but we did windsurf on the boardwalk. The wind literally pushed us down the far side of the beach where we had to refuel ourselves with cotton candy and icecream to propel back against the monster. I must say, something about cotton candy makes you feel like you have an extra limb and wheels on your toes, or was that just us high on sugar.

British seaside is so lovable, the colours and the smell… feels so good taking a break from the city.
