I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Photos taken at ASOS AW10 Press Day; 2,3,4 – ASOS White; 5 – ASOS Africa; 6 – ASOS Green Room;

I always let press day photos simmer in the pot for a good few days because I like my PR pasta rich in flavour – meaning I will necessarily keep those kind souls who invited me waiting for the coverage just so I might be in the back of their heads for at least a few days. It’s not really a PR strategy, rather a glorified justification for laziness, but it sure sounds like a convincing bulletpoint in PR for Dummies, doesn’t it?
So you’re assuming this ASOS pressday was about a week ago, and it was evil me who’s put lovely Susie on hold and gone for a shower and a new life. Well internet, this actually happened in April – that’s right, 4 months ago. The fact of the matter is, or as my highschool Bio teacher liked to say, the mact of the fatter is, I’ve been the one on hold for 4 months and 9 days, all in the name of protecting the regal awesomeness of ASOS. Awesomeness of ASOS, try saying that five time faster. I’ve been politely hushed at least twice to embargo this post until the right timing and I just couldn’t help but notice how much dearest ASOS have grown, from ‘As Seen On Screen’ to ‘As Seen On ASOS‘. But finally, here are some images of the new in or coming soons at ASOA, worth the wait, I think.

Dress – COS, Knee-high socks – Market in Korea gift from mama, Shoes – Office, Belt – Rope, Bag – Market in Vilnius, Sunglasses – 80’s Purple, Watch – Casio through ASOS. Thank you Macku for the photos!

The first generation Barclays Cycle Hire bicycles appeared today all around London at 6am. I had pre-purchased an access key as sort of a dessert after a gruelling main-meal window shopping session at ASOS, and after having experienced the privilege of giving a new city bike its first spin, I must stop and give myself a pat for such a thoughtful pre-arrangement. I can be so smart sometimes! I wish it happened more often. Only signed up members can use the bikes for now, so there were a fair amount of keyless people fawning over the new bicycles – stroking them, sitting on them, serenading them, licking them… a kid came up to me in his own bicycle and asked me how I took one out and I said dood go away, you HAVE a bike. If you have an address and a bank account in London, I suggest you head over and get yourself a key. They’re heavy as hell to ride (felt heavier than the French Vélib) but so worth it when you realize later your damned body is heavier to lug around.

(Oh, some are probably wondering what I did with my own bicycle – I don’t normally ride it into the city [7 miles], so the Cycle Hire scheme is better for short trips within town.)

Vivienne Tam & ASOS

Catwalk photo in collage taken from here, thanks!

Attention awesome blogger friends and esteemed readers, I am rather sad to announce that I have been given the honour of being the fifth judge of the Battle of The Bloggers at ASOS because I too want a Vivienne Tam HP netbook, ticket to a stylish city every four weeks (with designated photographer) and own blogging channel at ASOS. I am sad, therefore I will be cranky. I see now why Simon is so mean…

Take the most of this wonderful opportunity, I know so many of you have talent and drive to win this!

All the best!

For those who know of my (irrational?) fear of clowns, this is a huge improvement, no?

Kit and I were scouting side streets of Covent Garden the other day for a good shooting spot, knocking on walls with our blogger stick and scrutinizing the look of each street when we stumbled upon this wall. It was just around the corner from the Royal Drury Lane theatre, right by the headquarters of Paul Smith. I was erh *cough*copulating*cough* with the wall, you know, duty of a style blogger (Get friendly with backdrop), when a man on a bike came up to us and said the mural was only recently deleted. He then whipped out his iPhone and commenced searching for that picture he took of the whole clown, and while doing so I think we saw his entire lifestory in about 500 photos before finding the clown? Well anyway, the charming man showed us the photo and it got me thinking… why did they leave the half? I understand graffiti laws, but half-fulfilled graffiti law?

I just wondered if anyone knew about the story of this mural. Although, I promise I’m not that obsessed in finding out, it’s a clown after all.

Thank you Kit again for the beautiful photos!

ASOS New season Empire Dress (Available soon) + Feather & beads bib

Jacket – Vintage from Etsy, Pistachio Dress – H&M, Leather Pants – ASOS, Shoes – Gmarket, Bag – Topshop

I did a wrong click in ASOS and ended up in a whole new section that I’ve never seen before, called Awesome Soiree (free shipping for all). Stocked were items in the new and upcoming collection, a little too many hesitant looks at the canapé plates (Do I talk to strangers [with blogs] with mouth full of mozzarella & tomato or do I suppress this hunger?), dressing rooms with no boundaries (physical and metaphorical), and of course, for those willing to see the ‘products’ in action, the famous ASOS catwalk.

We were all a little shy in the beginning, whispering to our champagne glasses and petting the only living thing that won’t talk back, Butters the dog. The party really only started when the hair & makeup crew prompted some of the bloggers to get a makeover (not hinting on anything, I presume), and then we all eventually lunged for pieces on the racks and changed in the curtainless dressing rooms like varsity boys’ basketball locker room. It was so fun, to say the least, to mingle with UK’s top loved bloggers wearing Britain’s most-loved online retailer new season pieces. The evening folded with delicious cookies that were baked by one Kayla (who has a baking blog!) of ASOS’ team, and a goodybag, as if the evening wasn’t VIP treatment enough.

Hats off to ASOS for putting on such a great evening. Bloggers catwalk, what an idea!
