I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Today I woke up when it was already dark out, and had a steaming cup of apple cider for breakfast not too long ago, spiced it too – a swig of vanilla extract, a dash of ground cinnamon – good stuff. New Year’s resolutions? Haven’t met him. Instead of making an extensive list of must do‘s and must quit’s, this year I decided it might be easier to condense all that into one line: Get it together, woman; and this blog falls right in the middle of it. P&C has been growing into a big part of my life (time-wise, if anything), yet I still have absolutely no clue where this is going. I feel foolish doing outfit posts, knowing clearly it’s not anything worth documenting (thanks to one too many ‘screw this, nobody cares, I’m wearing track pants tomorrow’ during fashion weeks), most of the travels I do are in the mercy of some generous sponsor (that now all seem to prefer the tall, pretty ones with 6-digit followings), and in truth I’m making just enough to pay for my dedi-server every month + snacks.

I know I should be content with what I already have, especially my readers many of whom I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know better via emails, but every day we’re bombarded with what we don’t have, and it sucks because it casts a shadow on your own achievements and efforts, equally amazing in their own right. Ultimately, I’m afraid that I am wasting my time doing something completely unimportant in the large scheme of things – am I really loving my neighbours and fearing God? (Ironic to be saying all this under a vain outfit post, but hey, would you read this more if it were under a moody pic of a misty field?) All questions to answer in the coming year. Do we have any more end-of-the-worlds in 2013? I could do with a deadline.

There you have it – three different-ish ways to wear a wine-red pea coat and the last installment of Uniqlooks for 2012. It’s beyond me how I’ve managed to do this series for over a year now (Commitment? Never met him), I wish I did it with a gym membership or something because now I can’t find any shoes that will go with my post-Crimbo muffin top. Did you have a good Christmas/break? High-five if you too can’t tie your shoelaces anymore (that’s why we invest in velcro soulutions).

Our family stopped decorating for the holidays ever since that one year we had our tree, fairy lights lit and all, up until about May – I joke not. The tree was one of those huge firry fake ones where the arms fold down and comes in a huge box, which we kept in the attic. January hit, and once it was a decent time for the tree to retire, my brother and I were instructed to unload the baubles and fold the tree away, but of course neither of us had grown a pair to brave the cold, dark attic. You must remember, we’re Korean, so our ghosts aren’t those adorable blobs with a sheet over its head that go ‘wooo‘, ours is a skinny byotch with jet-black hair over her face and looks like she’s been trapped in a well for a decade (oh yeah, so no fingernails). So you get it, why the tree came to live with us until summer, and since that tear we never bothered to decorate. In fact I wonder what happened to that tree… probably became a salad once the girl in the attic realized no one was coming up there for her to gorge on. So I love seeing all the holiday decorations up in London, what a feat! and to the brave, diligent folks who will have to take it all down in a few weeks… I salute you.

Well, isn’t this awkward, the overall effect of this edit makes me look like a car thief in various stages of the profession. Especially that first outfit with the ridiculous keyring necklace and the inverse-tattoos up my arm, oh and that invisible wrench inside the clutch I’m pawing at. What the batpoop am I wearing? I do apologize, any outfit is a step up from ratty PJs and I think I may have played too much Sims 3 this past weekend. I’m one chess-game away from being level 10 in the criminal career and boy, I can’t wait to be Emperor of evil and make 418 simoleons an hour. So please ignore that one, I’d do something about it but my Photoshop skills don’t exactly include stripping the clothes off and burning it in a barrel trash can. Plus if I had such mad skills I’d be an indespensable talent to humanity, or at least the male bits of it.

I’m trying this new thing where I don’t make my outfit posts HappyMeal posts, because lately I’ve been sneaking in half-arsed outfit shots with some great eating experiences that really deserve full features of their own (eg 1 | 2 | 3 ). So when I say HappyMeal posts – introducing the cool eatery is the ‘toy’ bit, while my sartorial choices that accompany the post like an afterthought, the undersized, under-satisfactory kid meal. If you were in the kind of family where HappyMeal is currency of good behaviour, you’ll be familiar with the fact that once you get the toy out, you no longer care what goes in your mouth – a fry, a sawdust McNugget. As long as the toy keeps you entertained, your parents shovel the food in no problem. My point is, I’m now in a habit where I don’t post anything until I eat out somewhere cool, which is NEVER because I also happen to work full time and really would prefer eating pillow stuffing at home (preferably while sleeping). So here goes, back to basics, ‘punching-in’ my fashion blogger time-card, so to speak. Lots of me, from different angles, wearing stuff that’s probably not even fashionable to begin with. Oh but I love that shearling jacket from Muubaa.
