I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Welcome to version 3.0 of Park&Cube! Yeah, I do versions apparantly.

After I got back from London last Tuesday I decided that the blog was in dire need of some makeover, for example its eyebrows and armpits were getting a little too bushy for my liking, and the weeds! So I picked up my tool box and a lawnmower and went straight to work, determined not to blog until the work was done. As you can probably see, I aimed for a very simple layout stripped of the generic blog-like quality – so I do realise the sidebar font is tiny and I apologise, but now it’s only there when you need to use it.

If there are any technical problems while viewing the blog, please let me know, I shall reward you handsomely with a basketful of pretty eels.
Do stay and have a cuppa tea, feel free to poke about and find out it’s just a shabby paintjob over what’s already there – but like always, I greatly appreciate your visit. Love you dearest readers.

I’m in London at the moment doing a quick photoshoot, and will be back in Warsaw by Tuesday. Apologies to the Warsaw-love post right below, but it’s fantastic to be back; I guess it really takes to be away from a place to truly appreciate it. Owh goodness, I’m so spoiled.

Anyway I thought I’d post how my geometric necklace turned out  – tutorial here by Dnyce. I wanted the necklace to be somewhat asymmetric, but being a n00b and all, didn’t realise that it’s not that simple in jewellery architecture, so had to improvise with chains… Huge respect to Dnyce and those others savvy for jewellery construction; it surprisingly requires a lot of logic and craftsmanship, neither of which I posess in great dosage.

Finally had some time to drive into the center today, forgot how beautiful Warsaw was – really doesn’t help when the three most visited places in Warsaw are home, church and the closest MALL. Hey, believe it or not I’m a regular mall rat. They even have a statue of me in the foodcourt, tall long-haired thing licking a bronze icecream with shopping bags in tow, mounted on white marble with gold-embossed inscription that reads:

FOR SALE
Please help us remove this statue
No reserve price, GET IT NOW

Clearly, I take it for granted the many awesome places by growing up here – and the fact that I’ve gone through the explore Warsaw phase a few years ago. Now I’m suddenly feeling like I haven’t even seen a fraction of it, must set out on a quest this August.

Hope you’re all well.

Fascinating how easily a stack of equilateral triangles can finish off and upgrade an outfit. Learn how to create a geometric necklace from a basic apparatus – tutorial by the ever-cute Dynce from Superwowomg. (Check out her blog for more great DIYs!) Love how there’s so many ways your own creativity can trickle in while joining up those polygons.

elise

Visit Anywho.dk for Elise’s tutorial on how to upgrade shoulderpads to royalty. I was actually very surprised how professional these looked – the choice of having varied texture and shape adds a touch of sophistication to the project. Those Danish girls definitely know how to spice things up, adore their blog for exactly that reason.

luxirare

Take a hint, Luxirare is the baddest fashion blogger-designer out there. Her blog is full of her own master creations, leaking inspiration from every seam, and her COOKING. I’ve never seen such a happily-ever-after marriage between Food and Fashion, and she does a damn fine job conducting the wedding. Do check out her blog for some high-class food porn and more inspirations for your DIY energy, be it cooking or sewing.

Sorry about that second photo. I’m obviously slightly hungover from that flight back home – DEVIL CHILDREN… Turns out I’ve brought back 3kg more phat as a souvenir from the Turkey trip, how very memorable.

Well, I’ll check back later, I bled sleep on that damned flight and I’m a bit anemic.
