I’ve had a tiny grudge on amber since that time I fell off a tree in our back yard trying to detach an amber resin with an insect trapped in it (mosquito…). Damnit I thought it was prehistoric and would sell for bazillions. What? I was 7, I only got a brain for my 8th birthday and that was totally a few years earlier than my brother. Curious how we all seem to survive from falling off trees and being grated on the pavement rollerblading when young. Now I feel like dying from this thing called stress? This magically powerful thing that doesn’t even have physical form will eventually KILL ME.
Anyway newfound love for amber. Thanks mum, I guess you know now where your necklace disppeared to. Oh the things I do to make you read this blog.

oh my, how i love this entry. is that smirk for your ma? :P i fell off stairs and got pushed down a rough pavement. i though ‘scraped’ sounds grating enuf. lol.
So true about childhood pain tolerance, miss the days when my legs were black and blue with bruises but i still felt totally comfortable prancing around in shorts anyways. Love the necklace, why is it that mums always have the most covetable jewellry?

Loving the memories – I did exactly the same…at one of my dad’s work BBQs. I didn’t fall out of the tree (luckily) but I’m pretty sure my resin fell into someones drink. :p
